Replacement Keeper

I need to replace a missing sliding door latch keeper that was removed to install a dog door. Not sure of the make of the door. The label on it is deteriorated but looks like it reads SGD-R2(0?.) The door is 71"w x 78"h. The spacing of the mounting holes for the missing part as shown in the photo are 5 1/2" x 1". The outside span of the latch mechanism when extended is 3 3/4"

Hello! Looks like your old mortise lock is a match for our 82-238. This is compatible with a couple different keepers, namely out 89-030 and 89-036. Carefully look over our dimensions and pictures and let me know what you think.

Can't tell from the pictures provided if the size is right. Can you you tell me the distance between the outside edges of the holes in product 89-030? Please see photos attached. The distance between the extended existing hooks is less than 4". Hard to tell if they will reach.

There is no question at all as to whether your existing mortise will work with the 89-030. That's not really my concern. The real issue is what's going to fit on the door frame.

Like I mentioned before, your mortise is compatible with both the 89-030 and 89-036. Don't worry about which one will fit on the hooks because the answer is that they both will. Right now you need to check whether you have the space on the frame for either of these designs.
