This part isn't the same as the one I need and cannot Be modified to fit (according to the installer for whom I'm trying to find the correct part). Would you please continue to look for a closer fit? Thank you!

Perhaps I can assist you. I bet your daughter probably lives in California. We have seen this type of Top Sash Guide before, often from the state, and I am afraid we haven't had any luck in finding the company that has the mold. However, we did find one mold for a similar top sash guide that might work as a replacement. See our 18-203.
