Replacement Part Pella Sliding (Wood Patio) Door Thumb Lock of Inside Handle

A quick learner from Parsippany NJ says:
Attempting to replace broken thumb lock of my Aunt's Pella sliding door - Estimate circa 1970, do not have serial # available. 5 photos attached: #1 inside door handle prior to removal, door stuck in locked mode, thumb latch rotates 360-degrees, no resistance. After removal door handles, inserting flat blade screwdriver into latch chamber can easily lock/unlock door. Photo #2 is removed thumb lock, #3 inside surface with #31334 visible. #4 is close-up of broken stem/blade, #5 is close up against ruler [#4 & #5 are viewed held in a clamp].

In reviewing your list of replacement parts, I was unable to locate an exact match; I did find "XO Pella Door Lever 52-253". Q: Would this be the best match for a replacement part (can you suggest a better match)? and Q: Would you recommend also replacing the screws [Pella Sliding Door Handle Screw Kit 82-067].

Thank you very much for your attention/assistance in this request.

Thanks for posting, Alan. I'm not sure if our 82-252 and 82-067 can work. For the thumb lever, it looks like part of your spindle has broken off, so I cannot confirm if it's the same design of the 82-252. As for the 82-067 kit, it may work, since the screw head appears to match yours, but I cannot comment on the rest of the details. Keep in mind this screw kit is meant for Pella sliding patio doors from 1991 to 1996. That's not to say it still can't work for you, as your may have a newer handle, but it's something to consider.
