If you could help us find a suitable replacement for a customer's patio door lock it would be much appreciated. The lock appears to be very similar to other patio door locks, with a night lock feature, 6-5/8" center-to-center screw pattern and an overall length of 7-1/4". The customers lock fits into a wider 1-1/2" inch frame, and the standard lock is not wide enough for the latch to line up. The customers lock features a wider base for the cam, and also a double cam. It does have a patent number along with a "RD 1968 CAN" designation. Looking for black. Any help is appreciated. Stan.

Thanks for posting. I'm not sure that a lock of this type is made for doors that are 1-1/2" thick. You may want to look at our 82-002 handle set and see if the latch tooth will line up with yours. If so, then maybe you can reuse your longer screws, or maybe purchase some of the correct length at a local hardware store.
