Replacement Pins

Handy Person from Gif Sur Yvette, France
I am trying to fix some metal bifold closet doors, but the attached pins are missing on a couple of doors I need to fix. Will your hinges replace these okay? They are very similar but slightly different. Here are the parts I see: 21-007, 21-001, 21-065, etc

Hello,

Thanks for your post! The 21-001 and 21-007 do have the locking hook your bifold pins have, but I don't think either of them will reach the door cut out.

Are you able to reuse the black nylon housing on your pins? If so, I believe you may be able to replace just the caps. The nylon cap on your spring loaded pins look very similar to the 21-100 Bifold Door Pin Cap. This cap fits on a 1/4" (6.5 mm) pin tip; its outside diameter is 3/8" (9.525mm).

Should you need to replace the pins, for the one with the cap and spring I suggest taking a look at the 21-042 Bifold Door Top Pivot and Guide Pin. You can consider the 21-003 Bifold Door Pivot to replace the threaded pin. Take a look over each of them and see what you think!
