Replacement Pivot Lock Shoes Needed

Home Owner from Florida

I have ordered Swisco Pivot lock shoe part no 15-212 and the round pivot insert is not thick enough to properly engage the metal bars at the bottom of my windows.  The 15-212 pivot shoe fits fine in the window track - but the metal bar doesn't engage far enough.  The black color pivot socket is only 3/8 thick, the same thickness as the shoe.

what I need is a pivot shoe like the 15-212 part but with a pivot socket that is 1/2" thick.  I need 32 pivot shoes to replace on 16 windows.  One of the pictures I attached shows the pivot shoe socket protruding 1/8" thicker than the shoe body, and that is what I need.

Thanks for your assistance.

Regards, Joe

Hello, Joe. I see what you're saying. You need the cam to extend longer to meet your pivot bars, which are otherwise falling too short.

The bad news is that we don't sell a version of the 15-212 with that kind of cam. This is the only pivot shoe we currently carry with this design profile.

I am sorry for the inconvenience. One possible trick you could do is to redrill the installation hole for the pivot bar to scoot it forward a bit, enough to make up the difference. I've done such a thing myself in a pinch and it works for most applications, assuming you have room for the new screw hole.

Otherwise I'm sorry that we can't offer an exact match for this older style shoe.
