Replacement Sash Aluminum

Quick Learner from Idaho
We are looking for window sash replacements for a house built in th 1980s.
We think it would be the 500 series but the color tip on ours looks like it is yellow.
Width measures 9/16" but your site states standard would be 5/8"
The length measured is 29-1/8"
Need your recommendation for what a compatible replacement would be.

Hello,

I agree that if your spiral balance channel has a diameter of 9/16", the S500-29 would be our best replacement option. To determine the correct strength color option, you'll need to weigh your window sash. There is a chart under the balance product description that shows the weight ranges supported by each tip color option. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else. Thank you!

Thank you for your response. We will weigh the window sash and get back with you.

The window sash is 27 Lbs. So which should we go with, the red or the blue?

Either option would work since 27 Ibs. falls within the supported weight ranges for the red and blue tip options shown below. I would opt for the blue tips but it's ultimately up to you. Just make sure to use the same color option on both sides of the window.

Color Tip     Sash Weight Range

Red             7 to 29 lbs

Blue            12 to 31 lbs
