Replacement Sash Balance Shoes For Older Andco Windows

Hi there,

I contacted Andco about getting some older replacement parts for vinyl sash windows that won't stay up. They referred me to you as a potential avenue to get replacement parts for the windows. Sadly, all but one of the parts are shattered across three windows and the pictures are what I salvaged in hopes of finding replacements. Luckily there's a patent number on one of the parts, PAT 3,055,062, which is one of the parts that I need. I'm also missing several of the foot caps, also pictures, which slot into that part. Is there any chance of me getting a replacement for these? Also sorry for how gross the pictures are - the house was built in 1895 and the previous owners didn't believe in actually repairing or maintaining anything!

Hello! Looks like you need new pivot shoes across the board. I'm very confident that we have something that can work for you, I'm just not sure what to recommend. The best replacement will depend entirely on size, which is tough to gauge from damaged hardware.

I would start by looking at our 15-015. This is my best guess, but it is still a guess. You will need to grab the least damaged shoe available to you to measure its thickness and width to confirm that they line up. That's the only way to be sure.
