Replacement Tension Rods

I would like to make sure I buy the correct tension rod to replace our rusted ones. I see a white cap at the bottom of the spring, I wanted to make sure that's the same white cap on your website. I measured the yellow cover and it was 30" long. Also, the bottom white clips have rust from the rod. It may clean off after I remove the rod but should I just buy new clips as well? Not sure which ones to get.

Hi there!
Thank you for reaching out to us. It appears you have a tilt window. With that in mind, you want either the 5/8" diameter S600 or 3/8" diameter S900. The best fit will depend on the diameter of the outer tube. You will also have to weigh the window sash to determine the proper tip color for your replacements. There's a weight chart under the product description on the S600-30 and S900-30 store pages that you can use as a reference.
The clips you're referring to are called pivot shoes. Yours are too obscured since they're installed so we would need to see an undamaged version removed from the window, including the written-out thickness and width. In the meantime, we have related videos on this page that you may find helpful.

So I believe I would want the S900-30 with the red cap?

Thanks for getting back to us! If the outer tube is 3/8", the S900-30 with the red tip option is the way to go. A pair of these balances with a red tip will support a sash weighing 10 to 22 pounds.
We can't be sure of the pivot shoe without knowing the dimensions or seeing it removed but the 15-212 is our educated guess. You'll ultimately have to remove it and compare the specifications to see if they align. The video below will show you how to do so using the cut-out method.

Sure, this looks like a match for the 26-351. Review the specifications below and see if they match your repair needs.
