Replacement Two-point mortise lock

Question

The house was built in 2003 by Centex. There is no visible manufacturer's identification on the sliding glass door or windows installed by Centex. I've attached some photos for your information. I need a replacement for the double mortise lock. I purchased Swisco Product Code: 82-239 which was a close fit but didn't work.

I marked-up the drawing for the 82-239 lock with the dimensions required. Will you please check to see if there is another Swisco Product Code with these dimensions?

Hello, Robert. I'm sorry to say that we don't have a replacement mortise that matches the specifications you gave. Of the dimensions shown, though, only two are relevant: the spacing of the hooks and the position of the slot.

In the case of the hooks, that shouldn't be an issue since the 82-239 comes with its own keeper. You could just use that instead of your original and it will work perfectly fine.

As for the position of the slots, I'm a little confused by your diagram. You give two different positions; 4-1/4" from the top and 5" from the bottom. However, looking at the photos of your original mortise, you only have one slot. There couldn't be two different spacings. Can you confirm which one is correct?
