Replacement Window Balance

Quick Learner
The only marking on my broken part is 26 4 CALDWELL JM. However, I measured the metal section only and it is 27 inches exactly.

What size do I need?

The marking you're referring to only indicates the spring strength. It does not help with the identification or replacement. We will need to see photos showing the complete balance removed from the window. From there, we will begin to search and provide advisement on a replacement.

Thank you for the photos and information. Have a look at both our S380-27 and S385-27 balances. Depending on the 'depth' measurement of the bottom balance shoe will determine which of these two balances would make the better match. Whichever one chosen will use a 2640 option that holds a sash weighing 19-26 pounds.
