Replacement balance for old wooden sash

Contractor from California
I have some old wooden sash with broken balancers. I'd like to talk to someone about easiest way to reinstall balancers.  Sash won't come out until I remove wooden trim stop that retains sash in frame. It won't fit over balancers so must be installed in sash to install. Any hints for holding balancer in sash while trying to put tensioned cord in slot? Can I call you?

Hello,

With this combination of attachments, you'll ned a channel balance with the 19-002 non-winged top. You’ll need to measure as shown below to determine if the bottom fitting is 1" or 7/8" deep. Let us know your depth measurements, as well as the number of balances you need, and we can go from there. Your stamp code indicates you may need 3256 spring strength options for your replacement balances, which will support a sash between 35-39 pounds.

We'll also need to see the window track where the balance hooks onto and the track above the sash to confirm how they should be installed.

As for the top sash guide, take a look and compare the specifications of the 18-008 shown below to yours. Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
