I have different balances in each window

Question

I am ordering several channel balances and have a few questions.
I have identified the right balances.
(29" Series 385 Channel Balance):
1.) Every window has two different balances:
(1) marked 28E
(1) marked 28C, every so often there is a 28D...
Why would balances be mixed like this?
2.) What can be done for a balance that still works but is very noisy?

The manufacturer might have a reason to balance out the sash weight. I think it would be best to order what you have in the sash already. The 28C would be our 2830, the 28D is our 2840, and 28E is our 2850.

If you still aren't certain, you can give us the weight of each of your sashes and we can suggest an option for each.
