I need to replace the balance on a couple windows in my house I built in 2005. I read you site and another person had the same Unique balance I have and you recommended S380-27 or S385-27 based on the size of the bottom shoe. So I trying to find out how to measure the bottom shoe to get the right part.

Hi, Scott.
It looks like you have a Series 770 balance. Keep in mind when measuring your balance, make sure to only include the metal channel in your measurement.
You'll also need to remove your sash and weigh it to choose the appropriate stamp option. There's a chart on the S770's product page that shows you which option you'll need based on the weight of your sash.
