Replacement balance/shoe

Home Owner from Old bridge, nj
I need a 26" 1/2" width replacement balance with a 2540 strength. Your replacement balances are close but not exact. i do not know which is the best match. The bottom shoe from my balance is model 15-025 which is different that the shoe if I were to order a whole new balance. The photo below is my balance. What would be the most appropriate replacement part? Do you think I should get a whole new balance or should I just replace the exact shoe? Thank you.

Thanks for posting! If you have a 15-025 shoe, then do you also have the 19-008 top attachment? I can't tell by your picture. Could I perhaps see a few closer pictures of both of your nylon attachments? That will give me a better idea of what you're working with.

I believe the top attachment is the 19-008. I think it chipped a bit but didn't affect the window. I took closer pictures. So basically i still need to know if i should putchase a new 26" 1/2" width replacement balance with a 2540 strength and 2 new shoes or just one shoe or some combination. if i buy a new balance and the new shoe or shoes, will you attach them for me? thanks again for your help.

Great. I just wanted to clear that last detail up.

Now, usually balances with these shoes come in asymmetrical pairs; one balance would have that 19-008 top attachment and a 15-025 bottom shoe, but the other balance in that window would just have the 19-008 attachment and no shoe at all. These two balances would also have two different stamps.

Because it's such a peculiar set up, we do not have a standard Series for these balances. We would have to custom make them or you. Before I get started, though, I just want to know if both balances are stamped 2540, or if they're different. Let me know!

I only have one balance, the 2540. My question is do I get a new balance with a new shoe and new top, or do I just replace the shoe and the top, or do I just replace the shoe? The shoe needs to replaced or sure because its broken. The others parts are just old.

If you're handy, you can replace the nylon attachments yourself. Take a look at this video which gives instructions on how.
As for what you need to replace, it's up to you. Your top attachment here looks a little worn, but it might still be operable. You'll have to use your best judgement.

We can also replace the whole balance for you, but like I said it'd have to be custom made. I find it strange that your window only has one balance though. These are pretty unique balances and I've always seen them come in pairs.

There are 2 balances but th other one is fine. How much would it cost for you to custome the balance with the bottom shoe a d the top?
