Replacement bubble, weatherseal, and pile weather seal

Home Owner from Alexandria, Virginia
The weather seal on our south facing windows is dry rotting, and we're looking to replace it. I don't know how accurate my measurements are because I feel like enough of the seal has rotted away that I can't measure the whole piece.

I was unable to get the pile to pull away, but hopefully the photo gives you some sense.

Thank you for any help!

Thanks for your post! Your foam filled seal reminds me of either the 58-171 or 58-182 Foam Filled Bubble Weatherseal. To confirm if either of these is the replacement you'll need, be sure to compare their dimensions.

I'm happy to recommend a replacement for the pile you need, however, I'll need to know the measurements for the width of the base and the height of the pile, written out. Unfortunately, that is not something I can confirm from the photos of the pile.

There are three video tutorials tagged below with explanations on how to replace the pile and what we need to see to identify it.

Thank you! Are those measurements in inches?

Do you have the exact metric measurements?

These measurements are provided in inches. My best suggestion would be to use a chart or a conversion calculator to convert them to a metric measurement.

Thank you. It looks like we have the 58-182 version.

The pile is 5/16ths of an inch wide. Is that enough info?

Appreciate the help.

I'm happy to help! I agree, the 58-182 appears to be the best replacement option.

You can place the order for it on the website whenever you have ready.

Have a great weekend!
