Replacement channel balance 29 9 BSI R0

Question

Hi,

The Window Sash weighs 32 pounds. Length of the balancers is 30''. The top looks like 19-005 the bottom looks like 15-002.

If I can't use a stock balance to replace those, how do I order 4 of those custom-made?

Please advise asap.

Thanks for posting, Matt. With a 19-005 top attachment and 15-002 bottom shoe, it sounds like you will, indeed, need a custom balance. Please just double check the dimensions of your bottom shoe; the difference between our 15-002 and 15-001 can be subtle, but it is vital to your balance's operation.

Now, looking at the weight of your sash, we have two choices for the stamp option:

2950 will carry a window sash weight range of 28 through and including 32 pounds, and:

2960 will carry 32 through and including 35 pounds.

This information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
