Replacement channel balance

Question

I have a broken sash balance so will need to order 2. They come from a Jeld-Wen double pane window. They are 27" long, 9/16" wide and 5/8" deep so I believe I need the 385 series. I'm guessing the weight is 31 lb based on the imprint on the balance, but not sure about that. Unfortunately, I have an inside mount shutter frame installed so I cannot easily remove the window to weigh it. I have attached photos of the stamp and both end pieces . I'm hoping you can advise me on the end pieces to purchase as none seem to be exactly the same as mine (or at least I cannot discern that from the photos), and I don't know how much of an exact match I need.

Thanks for reaching out! It looks like you have either the S380-27 with a 1" shoe or the S385-27 with a 1-3/32" shoe. Although, I would be sure to double check that the length of the metal channel is 27".

To determine which series is needed for your window, look over the dimensions from the diagram below to confirm the depth of your bottom shoe. Let me know if it does not match either measurement.

The 31 in the 27DS31 stamp would typically indicate that the window should weigh 31lbs, however, you may want to double check the weight of the sash.
