Replacement channel balance

Question

Hi,

I need to replace the channel balances on my window(s) and am struggling to determine exactly what replacement parts will be needed. The current channel balance has a stamp that reads 29TJ. The only item I can find on this site that has that stamp is the S751, but there are a few things that seem different to me. For one, my current channel balance looks "plain" to me but the S751 is "ribbed". Does this matter?

Second, the hardware at the bottom of the channel balance looks different from what I see in the existing window. Maybe this doesn't matter in the end either, but what should I be looking for to know for sure?

Lastly, my wife would like to know if there are any painted options to match the other windows in the house (particularly the one right next to this one).

Thanks for reaching out to us. At first glance, this does look like our Series 751 balance. However, your metal channel is indeed squared off, not ribbed. That's an important difference.

We can help, but this will have to be a custom order. I'll just need to gather a few details to get the ball rolling. Can you confirm the length of the metal channel as well as the exact sash weight? How does your balance mount to the top of the window track? How many balances are you looking to replace?
