Aluminum windows 10 years old approx 1.25" wide channel.
i need replacement
do I need a new top hold down depending on the spring with a hole or as pictured

Thanks for posting. This looks like it might be the 15-251 Pivot Shoe, which works with Series 160 Coil Balance springs. That '10' stamp likely indicates you can use the S160-10 10 pound spring. Let me know if you have further questions.
