Coil for Certainteed Single hung tilt-in window

Handy Person from Goddard, KS
I have the lower tilting sash of a 30 year old Certainteed Single Hung window that needs the coils/assembly replaced. The sash is 33" wide and 30" height and weighs approximately 19 lbs.

The upper coil has 465 LK stamped on it and the lower coil has 334 SK stamped on it. I have also included a picture of the broken coil assembly.

Hello,

We offer the 15-192 Certainteed pivot shoe, which uses the S170 and S171 coil springs, along with the parts listed under the related items section of the 15-192 product page. Please note that some customers have reported needing to shave the front of the shoe down to install it in their window jamb.

We also offer a conversion video shown below that works for both Certainteed and Simonton windows that use this type of assembly. Take a look and review the full process below to see which option you'd prefer for your repair.
