Replacement for 30" channel balance for Alcan Windows

I am replacing the channel balance for an Alcan window. Your part 30" Series 380 Channel Balance, Product Code: S380-30 appears to be the correct part. My window balance is 30 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. The stamp on the old part is 2910. The bottom measurement is 1 inch just like the S380 balance shoe. However, the S380 balance top appears different, see photos attached. Mine has a groove that does not seem to be present on the S380 top. My question is will your part work for me or do I need a different balance top to match the old part?

Hello there, and thanks for all the thorough information. If the bottom shoe is 1" deep, then the S380-30 is what you need. In our experience, slight stylistic differences to the top fitting do not matter much. So long as it has the general design and those wings or side tabs, then it's the 19-005, which is what comes attached to the Series 380. Therefore, the S380-30 will work just fine. For a stamp option go with 2910. Let us know if you have further questions.
