Replacement for Mepla 698.243.59.00 hinge

Question

I read that Mepla is out of business (too many broken hinges like this).  What replacement hinge will work?

Thanks for writing in. Yes, unfortunately the trouble with these hold hinges is that many are no longer made, so replacements are seldom exact in design--this, I regret to say, means usually some adaptation has to happen to get new hinges to fit a drawer. If your old hinges look anything like the ones discussed here, then see if our 32-340 or 32-349 might work for you. Take a look at both pieces and see what you think.
