I need a Wright Products sliding patio door handle with a lock for a door that has 3-15/16" centers and is 1-5/8" thick. (I bought a Wright Products VK1104 which appeared to be idendical, but it doesn't fit the wider door.) I don't know the product number. Do you have this product?
Thanks,
Jack

The Wright VK1104 is similar to our 82-003. You probably have a "thermal break door" which is a thicker door.
Since the 82-003 is made for 1" thick doors, your door will be too thick for the included installation screws and lock spindle. I believe you can use the old spindle and screws from your existing lock currently on your door to make the 82-003 work for your thicker door.

Thanks for the response, Dave. Unfortunately, everything on the VK1104 is identical to the original lock (except the screws that connect the sides ... and the lock spindle). I tried using the original handles with the VK1104 lock spindle and it doesn't work because the spindle isn't as wide as the original. I don't think the 82-003 would work either.
Do you have ANY 1-5/8' locks that are 3-15/16" centers?
I appreciate your help.

I am not as good as Dave is with sliding door replacement hardware but what about the 82-035? The 82-035 has 3-15/16" hole centers and is for 1-5/8" thick doors.

Thanks, Mike. No doubt that the handles will fit, but what about a lock. Does this unit include a lock? If so, what kind? If not, which lock should I get? And, would I need other parts as well? I would like to get everything I need at one time.
Thanks,

Sorry, I spoke too soon. I just spoke with Dave and he said that the 82-035 will not work for you because your door is not setup for that type of handle lock set.
Is there anything I can measure for you in the 82-003 handle set to help you decide if it would work for you or not?
