Replacement hand for a Lockheed sliding door

Home Owner from Lyman, Maine

Hello, looking for help replacing a cracked handle. Handle is 9" long, hole openings at 3 15/16". Under the handle was the #276063-2-1-1. Spoke with Slocomb and they gave me the number 82-069, but said it would be best to send photo's and mention the length of the handle because it was not the standard. Would appreciate your getting back to us as-soon-as possible with cost and shipping time. Thank you in advance for your help.

Have a great afternoon,

Rachel

Hi, Rachel. The 82-069 is absolutely viable, as is the 82-091, 82-030, or 82-089, if you prefer those styles. The overall length doesn't matter too much. The handle will still install the same way, it just won't be as long. What is more important is the hole to hole center spacing, and yours lines up perfectly with ours.

The handle on top is the original one. Notice that the hole for the lock is in a different location than the new one from Swisco. Did I order the wrong handle?

You did, unfortunately. It appears that your original handle set has a centered thumb lever. The thumb lever on our 82-089 is in the lowered slot and cannot be adjusted.

My recommendation for your door would be our 82-030 handle set. This has an adjustable thumb lever, allowing you to use it in any position needed.
