Replacement handle / catch needed

Home Owner from Lexington, SC

Good morning,

We just purchased a patio home, and this is the condition of the patio door. We hope to find replacement parts to avoid the cost of replacing the whole door. I am guessing the door is approximately 20 years old...so I'm cautiously optimistic about finding these parts. Are these photos sufficient, or do you need more info? Thanks so much!

Sincerely,

Bob

Thanks for posting! Your keeper appears to be part 89-021D, however, these are compatible with a few different mortise locks. The mortise locks we have should also be compatible with your handle set.

I am confident we have  replacement mortise lock that we can recommend as a replacement for your sliding glass door. I'll need to know the measurement for the distance between the installation holes from center to center.

Here are additional photos with a reference scale shown. The center-to-center spacing of the (2) mounting screws is 3-15/16". The overall thickness of the door, between the inside and outside door handles, is 1-3/8". Hope this gives you what you need. Also, I would be interested in replacing the entire handle, catch, and keeper assembly if a good match is available. Thank you!

When referring to the distance between the hole spacing, I was referring to the distance between the installation screw holes, from the center of the top screw hole to the center of the bottom screw hole. I recommend starting with reviewing and comparing part 82-227. The measurement for the installation holes for this mortise lock is 5-3/8". Let me know if the measurement is not a match.

We do not carry a handle set that has a wood pull like the one you have, unfortunately. However, our 82-030 will work fine as a replacement. Look over the dimensions to determine if this will work for you.

I did also want to make you aware of another possible replacement solution for the keeper you have pictured here. Take a look at part 89-020 and compare the measurements to determine if this or the 89-021D might be the right fit.
