A home owner from Raleigh, NC says:
I have a black storm door that opens to the inside. I can't figure out who makes it. I need a new latch, the old broke so it will no longer lock

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we'll need to see photos of the original latch, along with written-out dimensions, to compare to our inventory. Thank you.

A home owner from Raleigh, NC says:
Attached are photos of the latch. The lock on the latch is broken, part of the metal on the cyclinder came off. Also, the spring in the mating piece doesn't push the pin out so it won't hold the door in place.

I circled the two problem areas. i need a new latch and corresponding spring clip. Let me know what parts to buy.

Any idea on where to find the manufacturer of the door? Thanks

Thank you for the photos. Take a look and compare the dimensions shown on the 40-028 product page to your handle set.

As for the door manufacturer, you could check around the door frame for a manufacturer sticker that may indicate the company that made your door but there's a chance that they may no longer be in business since storm doors aren't as popular as they once were.
