Replacement lock needed.

Question

Will the 40-214 lock set replace this one? Will it drop in or will I need to modify the door?

Thanks for writing in. I agree, the 40-214 looks like a good match, and it's what I would have recommended based on past cases. I can't totally guarantee it will work for your door, but if the dimensions match up I think it's a great option.
