Replacement locking mechanism

I hope that you and loved ones and co-workers are well.

I need to replace the locking mechanism on this interior handle for sliding glass door. The manufacturer/model info from our invoice is:
1-6068 WINDOWMASTER 800 SER SLIDING DOOR, OX, DUAL GLAZE LOW-E, WIDE STYLE, WHITE HANDLES.
It was installed in 1999
The little bar that turns the lock measures 2 inches long and 7/32 inch wide. The opening that the bar fits into is 1/4 inch wide.

I will buy a new handle / lock assembly if that's needed.

I don't think this handle is made anymore, but I have experimented with different parts and can confirm that our 82-030 can be used as a substitute. Look it over and see what you think.

Ah, that's too bad. Usually your old handle has a kind of lever that reaches down from the top thumb lever to meet the mortise, which is situated in the middle position. I thought maybe that lever had just broken off of your original.

In that case, our 82-030 may still work but it would require drilling new holes. It would also mean the old holes would be exposed, which isn't ideal. You may want to see if you can contact Windowmaster directly to see if they're still able to supply the original styiel handle set.

I should have sent a photo of where the mortise is located, which I'm doing this time. Unfortunately it is not in the middle of the handle but sits above it, right next to the thumb-pull. I assume that using the 82-030 would require drilling new holes and positioning the new part higher than the current one?
