Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we would need to see photos of your original handle set and mortise lock to compare to our inventory. Please also write out the exact distance between the installation hole centers of your handle set. Thank you!

I only have broken/missing parts. I would like to avoid cutting new holes in the door.

The screw holes are 4" apart. The exterior handle has casting/part # 1863-2. The interior handle and mortise lock are missing. The mortise lock hole in the leading edge of the door is about 3 5/8" long and less the 1/2" wide. The sliding door is vinyl and the leading edge is somewhat damaged.

Your part # 82035 looks about right. It appears the mortise lock is 82003. This lock is 3 5/16" long. I can't determine the width of the lock from the catalog.

The size of the lock and the screw holes seem to be most important

Thanks for getting back to us but we would still need to see photos of the parts that you have now, even if they are somewhat damaged.

Thanks for getting back to us. I would recommend taking a look at the 82-030 handle set. We also offer the keyed 82-030A center-mounted version of these handles.

We can't be sure of what you need without seeing the original mortise lock as well but seeing the cutout where it installs would help us narrow down your options. Thank you.

Does the mortise lock come with the 82-030? Or does the 82-218 need to be purchased separately? I don't have the original lock. The top of the lock hole is torn out. A little abuse, I guess. Sny ideas how to reinforce the lock hole. Thx Karl

The handle set does not come with the mortise lock since they are separate pieces of hardware. You're welcome to give the 82-218 a try if you believe the dimensions below match your door's specifications. If you run into any trouble, our return policy can be found here

If part of the door frame where the lock is damaged, unfortunately, that is not something that we'd be able to help with since it would be specific to the manufacturer.
