This seems to match what I am looking for but I wanted to know if the pin pushes down below the plastic casing (open on the bottom) or if it stops at the plastic bottom of the casing (closed bottom).

Thank you for your post and your continued patience with us. When the 23-118 is depressed the metal pivot protrudes beyond the bottom of the plastic casing. In order to use this pin, you will need a hole which goes deeper into the door than the plastic casing does.

Do you have an alternative when the pin is depressed the metal pivot DOES NOT protrude beyond the bottom of the plastic casing?
