Replacement part

Home Owner from USA
Hello I have an old window (installed when the house was built in 1955). It is a long horizontal awning window with top hinges. The crank hardware that was on it would just turn and turn but not push the wind open. We were able to push the window open and close manually.

Attached is an image of the hardware that was on there and the opening to install the hardware. The window frame is steel.

Sincerely,
Jack

Hi Jack,

Thanks for reaching out to us! Given the age of the window and the hardware, I am not confident that your exact awning operator is available any longer. You could potentially use the 39-473 Rear Mount Scissor Arm Operator, but I cannot make any guarantees that it will work.

To install this, you'll likely need to drill new installation holes in the window frame to attach one of the compatible brackets.

Take a look over each of these hardware replacements to determine if this is something that could work for your repairs.
