Replacement part for double hung windows

I don't have a model number but the windows were installed in 2003. All of the windows have this piece hanging. It is the top window, outside. Can you identify the part so I can order replacement.

Thanks for your inquiry. From what I can see the piece you are referring to looks like some sort of wool pile weatherstripping. I am sure we can help you with this. We will need to see a piece of it removed and have you send additional photos of the part from an end profile. It would also be a good idea to include some detailed measurements. With that information, it will help us narrow down possible choices on a replacement.

The strip is 26 3/4" in length. Marching up the piece in the home depot we think the piece is SiliconSeal Adhesive-Backed Fire/Smoke Gasketing. Here are additional photos. Hopefully you can verify the part. Thank you.

You have either our 58-171 or 58-182 depending on your specific dimensions. You'll need to remove a whole and undamaged sample to confirm the better match. Remove the sash from the window frame and slide out the bottom sash bubble seal and match it to ours. You might have to open the groove at the end of the sash with a putty knife.
