Trying to find the replacement for this window. It?s an old window and these things cracked. Can you help by looking at the photos? The rod is 17? long and 3/4? in width.

I'm afraid that I cannot determine what you have from this photo. It's definitely a non-tilt spiral balance, but that's about all I can say. Can you confirm the diameter of the outer tube? It should be either 3/8" or 5/8". I know of no spiral balance that has a diameter as large as 3/4". That's massive, and just eyeballing your photos I don't think it's that big.

In order to determine what shoe you need, you'll have to get a hold of an undamaged version of what you show here, either from the same window or an identical window elsewhere in the house. Then you'll have to look at the non-tilt spiral balances we carry with similar shoes and compare the dimensions we show for each shoe to your own. You can see our selection of 3/8" diameter non-tilt spiral balances here and our 5/8" non-tilt spiral balances here.

I personally think you have a 5/8" balance, so in my opinion those should be the first you look at. It will ultimately come down to the dimensions of that shoe. It's vital that you get those. There's no way to determine what you have without that data.

Ok I will double check the measurements and the other window and try to send better photo of the shoes.
