Replacement part needed for a keyed patio door lock

Quick Learner from Manassas Park, Virginia, 20111

Hello Team,

We have a patio door from PPG Herculite that has a basic manual sliding door lock without a KEY system.

The pictures of an existing locking system is attached here. I want to have the manual locking to be replaced with a key lock for extra security.

Can you please direct/guide me which part i should be using/ordering and how to have this existing system replaced.

Thanks,

Shalabh

Hello, Shalabh. Based on your photos, I feel confident that our 82-087 handle set can be used to replace what you have now. The design is a little different but it should be fully compatible with your door. Look it over and see what you think!

Hi Tom,

Yesterday, while talking to a support specialist and referring this discussion thread, i was informed that 82-086 would work for my kind of door lock. I've gone ahead and ordered it already. Do you think it will work instead of 82-087?

The 82-086 and 82-087 are identical in every respect except for the color finishes available for each. I only offered the 82-087 because it comes in brass, which matches your original handle. If you prefer the color options for the 82-086 then that will work perfectly fine.
