Replacement sash support coil balance

Question

I have a broken spring in a sash support coil balance. The housing looks like a 15-087 and the spring looks like a S180. The housing has the number 5 printed on it; does this mean the spring is a 5 lb spring? (pictures attached)

It sounds like you are on the right track. Our 15-087 coil housing and S180-5 coil spring should be able to replace your current coil spring system.
