Replacement screen retention parts

Thanks for posting. Unfortunately the retainer strips used for storm doors have become almost impossible to replace. Every different door company used a ton of different styles--and many of these companies no longer exist. That makes it impossible for us, or anyone else, to supply exact replacements.

Because of this, we suggest an old-fashioned alternative. You could try using our 70-180 storm door clip and drilling a hole for a 33-020 screw. This is how storm door companies did it once upon a time, and we still find it to be an effective and simple solution. The 70-180 would need to be secured on the face of the door with a 33-020 screw. The end leg of the clip has a 1/2" reach and should press up against the screen or glass panel in the door holding it in place. I would suggest installing four or five on each side and maybe two at the top. 

A second alternative would be to cut the existing good strip you have into smaller pieces, and then spread them out to hold the screen in place--this should still work, as you don't need the entire strip to do the job. Let me know if you have further questions.
