Replacement seals help

A home owner from Raleigh, NC says:
I need help identifying and replacing the seals needed for my windows (they are ~21 years old vinyl single-hung). As you can see, I am getting condensation because they are not working anymore. I cannot find a way to remove them and I would need help figuring that out as well. I have tried to include as many pictures as possible to help. There is a seal at the top and the bottom that look to be the same.

Hello,

If you are trying to replace the wool pile weather seal, take a look at the videos below and our selection of replacement pile here. As for the condensation, that could be caused by high humidity in the house due to something like a humidifier from the heater being turned up too high or even condensation from a crawl space making the area damp.

The insulated glass could also be failing and needs to be replaced in your windows. If that is the case, you would need to take your window sashes to a glass shop or hardware store in your area that replaces the insulated glass and have it resealed.

This is not wool it is rubber. and i had already looked at the videos. they do not help in this situation.

The only bubble we carry similar to yours would be the 58-135. However, we do carry wool pile like the 58-158 with a fin seal, which works well for sealing windows. You would need to check the width and height of your weatherstripping to compare to our replacement options.

As for removing the original, the options we've gone over so far would be our best recommendations. If you are still unable to remove it, I'd recommend getting a local professional involved to assist you.
