Replacement spiral balance

Question

The length of the spiral portion of the balance is 30". The spring appears to be the same. I don't know how we were able to get this out of the sash. Others were not readily popping out. It seems the failure is caused when the window is opened too quickly, forcing the spring to deviate and break free of plastic containment, before the spiral can ascend upward and stabilize the spring. I will need instructions on how to properly remove and replace. Thank you.

I'm afraid that I can't make out what you have from these photos, they're a little too blurry.

Can you try to submit these photos again, so that they're a little more clear? Can you also confirm if this is a tilt or non-tilt window? From there I can advise on how to remove the others, and maybe even what will work as a replacement.
