Replacement tilt latch

Question

Hello I need help identifying replacement tilt latches for my window. The only markings on the latches are L 3 on one side and a 2 on the other side. I am a carpenter by trade and having trouble identifying the parts.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your post! We do not have an exact replacement for this internal latch, unfortunately. Our best replacement solution would be to convert the window to one that uses surface mounted latches. Take a look at the video tutorial below for a detailed explanation on how to complete the repair.

In the video we suggest using the 26-228 and 26-229 but there are a variety of Surface Mounted Latches that will work if they will not be a fit for the sash.
