I'm trying to find a replacement for the aluminum strip that serves as the weather stripping between the check rail of my double hung wood windows. The windows are Crestline's from the late 1960's. The upper sash has a grove that is around 1/16 wide and 3/8 deep in which the strip is inserted. The strip rests in a channel that is 1/2 wide and 3/16 tall. The part of the strip that is inserted into the sash is 1/4 long. The portion of the strip that is exposed is 1/2 by 1/2. I've included pictures of both the upper and lower sash and two with the sashes in the closed position, one with the weather strip installed and one without for reference. So it appears the cavity for the weather stripping is slightly larger than 1/16 high. I'm hoping there is some type of bulb or bubble weather stripping that I can use.
