What is the replacement weatherstrip for 79-030? I have what looks like an older version and it's missing

The weatherstripping in the 79-030 faceplate is pressed in and not easy to replace. You might be able to use the 58-014 wool pile, but I'm not sure. Show us some photos of your faceplate if you want some more specific recommendations.

the items suggested will not work for my application. I need 2 brush strips 6 1/4" long. the brush is 5/16 to 3/8" tall. a lot of wear, hard to tell. the base is 5/32" wide and 1/32 thick.

Great. Thanks for the extra information and photos. Could our 58-198 gray pile weatherstrip with a 3/16" wide base fit?

the 3/16" base would be perfect. the overall height needs to be 5/16" to 3/8" to prevent foldover and interference with the lock.

not sure if it's an issue but the existing brush does not fan wider than the base.

I'm afraid we haven't been able to find a wool pile with that size. Would it be possible to "shave" it down to the size needed?

I had considered that. probably worth a try.
