Replacement weatherstripping

Home Owner from Whitehall, PA
Hi, I'm trying to find replacement push-in weatherstripping for my front storm door as I don't want to buy a whole new door. The shape of the 72-inch strip looks like maybe I should order part 58-170B but there's no foam in my current weatherstripping. Is it possible the foam just melted - house is at least 40 years old and door is south facing so it gets very hot.

Hello,

It seems like you may be showing the seal that holds the glass inside the frame. If so, that is referred to as a retainer strip. I'm sorry to say we will not be able to supply you with a direct replacement since a growing number of storm doors have opted not to use them, making it very difficult to source direct replacements for them.

Our suggestion is to use the 70-180 Storm Door Insert Clip along with the 33-020 screw. We've made this recommendation for replacing many storm door retainer strips. Take a look and see if this is something that could work for your repairs.
