As a policy, we recommend that you stick with the original hardware the window was designed to use.
Hello Swisco, sorry I haven't reached out sooner. I wanted to ask you a quick question do I have to take the replacement window out of the frame in order to visualize the pivot shoe? Or can I view it if I lower the top sash down

Yes, you'll need to fully remove the window sash to get a good shot of the pivot shoe. Note that if it's too obscured, we may need to see it removed from the window track.

the only numbers or letters that I see are I H 6 i'm not sure if that means anything or not. If I gave you the size of the window sash, would that help?

That helps! I recommend the S180-06 6-pound coil spring based on the weight code on the spring.
