Replacement window balance

Thanks for reaching out to us. Looks like you have an old rod-type balance. They stopped making these a long time ago, unfortunately, but the good news is that we have more modern parts that can work just as well, with a few modifications.

Before we go any further, though, I'll need to see a few more pictures. To start, can you show me a clear picture of the attachment at the end of the cord? This should be a shoe of some kind, or a metal clip. You're also going to need the length of the balance and the precise weight of the sash.

Once I have that data, I'll do my best to find you a good replacement option.
