Replacement window balances

Home Owner from Hereford, AZ
Window balances currently in the manufactured home are 18 years old and stick during operation.  The metal strut is 27" long (see photo).  Imprinted on the strut are: 26 3 BSI NF.  There are no other markings.  The plastic end pieces are attached with two rivets at the end with the imprint and 1 rivet at the other end.  Any assistance in identifying the appropriate replacement will be appreciated.

Hi there!

We're happy to help with this. We would like to see an image of the inside of the balance’s metal channel, where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism; this connection is located in the middle of the channel. Additionally, can you measure the bottom shoe as shown below and tell us what you get?

Thank you kindly! Take a look at the S380-27 and S385-27 with the 2630 stamp option. The difference between them is the depth of the bottom shoe, as shown below. We don't have a balance with a winged 1-1/8" deep shoe, so you may have the Series 385 with a 1-3/32" deep shoe. Review the specifications and see what you think.

Thank you.  I believe the S385-27 is the one I should order.
For the option:  26 3 is stamped on the balance.  Would that be option 2630?
How do I order a pair of balances?

Yes, you'd want to select the 2630 stamp option. You can place an order directly on our website at your convenience or by calling (888) 991-1929.
