I need replacement cartridges for 9 windows that are approximately 30 years old. The windows carry the following information:
Code: C-017-1
Spec DH-81
Series 880
MST 3'8" x 5'0"
Can you identiofy what I need?

I'm not sure what it is you need. I'm not familiar with what a cartridge might be, that is not a common term in the window industry. Could you show me a picture of the hardware in question to start out?

Apparently you call them a balance. I can't give you any more information without taking the window apart, which I won't do at this time of year.The local window dealers (who call it a cartridge) don't want to deal with them, but they are more than willing to sell me new windows (which I can't afford).

If the issue is with the balance, then you should certainly be able to replace them without needing a whole new window. We would definitely need to see it out of the window, though. You can see our entire selection of balances and balance-related hardware here.
