Replacing

Question

Good morning Sir/Madam,
As you can see from the pictures the coils on both side are collapse.
After researching for a solution I found your video and following your instructions I can replace them but I would like your expert opinion on which parts I should buy.
Please note that only the lower inner sash is broken on both sides and the dimensions in the photos are in centimetres.
I'm guessing that I need a triple coil balance system and maybe the jamb spreader since I would like to avoid cutting any part of the window.

Hi there, Carlo.

We'd be happy to help but we will need more information to track down a match. Can you write out the thickness of the pivot shoe or the thickness of the coil spring? And is there a number stamped on the band on the spring? If there aren't, you will have to weigh the window sash on a scale and tell us the precise weight.

We do offer the 75-069 jamb spreaders but we generally recommend the cutout method shown in the video below. Please note that the jamb spreaders are not eligible to be returned for a refund and are quite expensive, which is why we tend to only recommend these to contractors who are doing these types of repairs regularly.
