I have a Peachtree double hung window and I want to replace the existing channel balances. The balances for the top sash are readily available through your website. It looks like I need your S745, 22.25-4 channel balance.
However, the existing balance for the bottom sash is 29-1/4 inches measured from end to end of the balance. Your website lists 26-1/4 inch and 32-1/4 inch but no 29-1/4 inch balances.
The existing bottom sash of the double hung window measures 38-1/4 inches from bottom of bottom rail to top of top rail so it seems like a 32-1/4 inch balance would work. The existing bottom sash weighs 28 pounds; the existing 29-1/4 inch channel balance is 1/2 inch wide and has the number 3666 on the back side of the channel.
Am I correct in assuming that your S745, 31.25-4 channel balance work for the bottom sash? Thank you for your assistance. Michael Kirby
