Replacing Sliding Door lock

Are you looking for the handle as well? My first thought was our 82-030 but this part measures 3-15/16" on the installation hole centers. I know you said the one you ordered won't work but you can specify exactly why?
First of all I need something I can lock from the outside. This is our main entrance. When the handle is installed something keeps the key from turning the lock and locking the door. Locksmith worked for an hour and finally put a couple shims on the outside that worked but I want something that will work, made to fit. Either email or call. Thanks
You say the locksmith installed a few shims on the inside of the handle to get the key to work. With that in mind, my feeling is that the "tail" on the key cylinder needs to be cut to size.
